Santa Cruz makes a big deal about being the 'only major seaside amusement park on the West Coast' and it says so on their <a href="http://www.beachboardwalk.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.beachboardwalk.com/">website</a>. Maybe they have some kind of grudge against Santa Monica or something and don't recognize them as a playa.
