I'm a "troll" because I have an opinion? Unlike you, I actually signed my post with my real name.

I'm sure you're probably a really nice guy in person, but the way you come off on that video is scary. You label the suspect a "nutbag" and a "terrorist", and advocating hanging them. And you are downright gleeful about it. Not the kind of person I want to see in a position of power, in BRC, or anywhere else.

I think what Lane Hartwell means is that the internet empowers folks to be hurtful without consequence. Yeah, Internet. Yeah, Lane.

That said, I also got to attend the arson of the Statue of Liberty sculpture. The Genny had been hauled in and the cap removed. Then it was apprently dumped on it's side, running, on the trailer.

Someone or the generator it'self then ignited the spilled fuel destroying the trailer, genny, sculpture and tools. The act of an actual tool, Lane. Perhaps you just use that word without knowing it's meaning?

There's another word you need to look up Lane. It's "Troll." Your picture will no doubt be found nearby : ).

As an aside, Eddie, while you had the camera on him and he was all big eyed and saying terrorists should be hanged, did you realize you had interview gold?

Sasquatch is right.

I am the other artist so disgraced at burning man along with the world's most ready symbol of freedom(of course, that really does depend on "what side of the pistol u stand on). To me the war on terror is really a war on freedom.

For that reason, I spent weeks and months carving a huge, futuristic statue of liberty out of a cedar log and i brought it to share...

Besides the man, the Liberty burn was the first arson since 1999, along with my trailer she stood on and my vital tools and equipment. I was sharing the "process of art" with people who loved their liberty too.

Should we watch people do nasty things to get attention, then use it as a platform to blather; who attack a culture at it's most passionate nexus and not call them terrorists?

Do they need to burn center-camp next to make their point?

The first defense against any cultural disorder, i think is community awareness so let's call it what it is. The next is to to catch the sick punk and see him fry in a federal penitentiary. Let's see if he likes those flames.

Burning Man is in danger as long as people use terror to make political statements, especially in light of the '08 Bman theme...
